Does Your Basketball Player Need TBF?   What’s the difference between TBF and millions of other AAU programs in Southern California?

 

1.TBF has an organizational philosophy. We have defined what the fundamentals are in order to achieve better skills in basketball. Although effort and aggression on the court can be taught in various manners by coaches all across the country, our coaches here at TBF make it a number one priority to assist in making sure our athletes achieve their highest potential – on and off the court. The facts are proven in our young athlete’s growth in less than 90 day time periods. You are more than welcome to visit a practice match we have to observe this evidence.

2.Before he deceased in 1970, the head coach for the Green Bay Packers, Vince Lombardi made an amazing point that we here at TBF abide by; “When your undefeated, coach them like they have lost every game, and when you have lost every game coach them like you have won them all”. We find this teaching to be essential to create humble athletes who one day will understand the consciousness it takes to learn teach and re-teach themselves in the game of basketball. By setting the expectations high, we truly believe that success is easily produced. Therefore, winning is not our goal it is a byproduct!

3.Our objective is to coach with intensity coupled with patience. We exist not to win, but to teach our youth what it takes to win. Here at TBF, we believe that winning is:

• a.Playing as hard and as smart as you can even if down by 30.
• b.Being more concerned with using the correct fundamentals instead of who is watching.
• c.By PRACTICING as hard as you can, in this you will always win in the long run. For example, it’s not about the scores in one particular game – But how many games in the season we have given it our all, as an individual and as a team.

 

If your main concern at all times is that you are personally giving 100% and are dedicated to quality teamsmanship that leads to winning on the “scoreboard”. By winning on the court, TBF athletes win off the court by realizing the value of putting their best foot forward at all times. And by conducting themselves in this manner at all times, they understand that they are WINNERS at all times.
